Since 2 days I get this message from skype every night at 3:45:

Hello Denis De Mesmaeker,

you haven't used your Skype Credit for a long time now.
Unless you take some action, your Skype Credit balance will expire in 30 days and you cannot use it any longer.

So first, why should they just kill my credit balance? That’s stolen money. My bank does not kill my money if I don’t use it for some time neither! I really don’t get that. Is that how you should care about your customers? I don’t think so.

And anyway, I made a phone call yesterday with skypeout, so actually used my credit balance and I still get this warning. I might switch to Gizmo, which does not use proprietary protocols and has even better features. Sorry skype, not with me!

Gigathlon is starting in the next seconds. You can track it on map.search.ch as I already told. Fun to watch!

[Update: Unfortunately most of the teams have forgotten to activate their GPS unit. DRS3 and SwissPower team are one of them. I hope they will activate it on the first change. Some of the teams have updates only every 5min to save battery power. The others are updated every 4sec, such as team number 4, 14 and 15. ]

[Update II: There are much more teams now. Not too simple to find out where which team is, though. Swimming is not tracked, unfortunately. ]

A month ago I ordered the giant fan picture, because I liked the idea. Unfortunately the project has been in trouble because of some users. This is an excerpt of an e-mail I received on June 29th:

“Die Poster müssen diese Woche nochmals neu gedruckt werden. Dies aufgrund der Vorkommnisse (nicht jugendfreies Material), wie Sie vielleicht aus den Medien entnehmen konnten. Die Credit Suisse hat nun diverse Bilder aus dem Mosaik entfernen lassen, was etwas Zeit in Anspruch genommen hat.”

The poster finally arrived today, although the title “Die ganze Schweiz unterstützt die Nati” comes a little late as the worldcup is almost over and the Swiss team already at home.

It’s still a nice little souvenir of that time…

Yes, there is! We just got a judicial decision (don’t know the correct english wording for “richterliche Verfügung”) to remove www.scheidungsrecht.ch from our search index (I’m not linking to it on purpose).

Why did they create a website (without permission control) then? And it seems they never heard of robots.txt, which would be much more effective and less expensive to control such things.
But anyway, if people should not find their content, they simply should not publish it. I don’t write and publish a book about stuff, people shouldn’t know about neither… They might just try the brand new security model “security by obscurity”, though?

Ah, I just browsed a little on their website. Now I see a little more. They probably have some private content on it. Check http://www.scheidungsunrecht.ch/_downloads/Aerztliches%20Zeugnis%20von%20Muster%20fuer%20Hans.pdf (I changed the original Name, as they shut down the website now). Hm, and they leave the lastname in the pdf name???
This can’t be serious! Some people just really don’t get it.
Enough (we will remove the content from our index). Ridiculous…
